Bachelors or Masters Degree in the area of Electrical/Computer Engineering/ or Telecom from a reputed University

Goals:
Responsible for managing overall Energy Opex of Telenor Pakistan.
Introducing innovative ways to control and reduce energy cost through improved processes, efficient resource management, smart gadgets, and alternative energy sources while improving overall transparency of the process and accountability of user departments and vendors.
Forecasting and strategically planning nationwide fuel and electricity expense. Ensuring accurate fuel target setting, transparent performance evaluation and extensive support to regional teams for managing fuel under cluster based operating model.
Responsible for realization of Energy Savings initiatives. Battery Banks health management, optimizing existing saving gadgets and prioritizing cost-effective power sources using smart gadgets
Strengthen controls on electricity bills management, optimizing tariffs and electricity consumption to minimize electricity cost.
Potential Career Path:
This is an important role reporting directly Head of Technology Operations. This role has a potential career path towards growth in areas of field operations, maintenance and support functions, power planning and implementation
Your typical day at work:
Following up on weekly/monthly energy controls.
Innovate to improve energy efficiency and controls. This includes coming up with an idea from scratch, selling it to governing body, implementing it and realizing the expected results.
Ensure contract management for all Power Infrastructure MS partners/vendors/suppliers.
Forecasting fuel and electricity expense, while maintaining focus on meeting company opex targets.
Collaborating with regional field operation managers to identify improvement areas, submitting recommendation and engaging supporting functions in head quarter when required including Site Acquisition, PGA and legal teams.
Conducting RFQs, preparing annexures, overseeing vendor contracts, preparing recommendations for vendor contract management, ensuring SLA compliance and imposing LDs where applicable.
Continuous engagement with PGA, Legal and Compliance teams over on-going legal and compliance matters, conflict of interests and disputes.
Strong communication with internal audit and Risk assurance teams for mitigation of financial and operational risks.
Functional Skills/Knowledge Areas:
7+ years of experience with atleast 4 or more years of experience in Operations
Proven performance in role of field operations, preferable in a middle management level role.
Should have excellent understanding of operational processes and procedures.
Strong knowledge of challenges pertaining to energy management in this region.
Excellent knowledge of alternative/greener energy sources.
Readiness and ability to initiate action; enterprising.
Clear understanding of financial forecasting and planning.
Excellent Stakeholder- relationship management skills.
Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team
Ability to manage and lead skilled teams
