Job Description

Under the overall supervision of the FAO Representative, Direct Supervision of Assistant Representative – Programe and the Programme Officer Resilience and in close collaboration with the Program team the Reporting Officer will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Ensure timely reporting of all FAO projects in prescribed formats.
  • Liaise closely with programme team to ensure that reports meet the technical and content requirements of FAO and donors, and that project visibility is of a high standard;
  • Track/monitor/flag reporting requirements and deadlines through management and continual updating of the reporting database;
  • Draft project-specific human interest stories for inclusion in donor reports and integration into other communication outputs, such as web stories, publications, etc.;
  • Ensure concision, coherence, clarity, as well as grammatical and spelling accuracy of all programme-related documentation;
  • Provide support in finalizing programme documents (e.g. project documents, donor reports, assessment reports);
  • Contribute to FAO communication and media products on FAO activities in Pakistan, ensuring that project activities, results and impacts are highlighted;
  • Provide support in preparing programmatic communication material (e.g. briefs, project updates and highlights) for donors, key stakeholders and FAO management
  • Facilitate the proper dissemination of relevant public information products, including publications on relevant FAO web sites;
  • Log all reports, communication products and related missions onto the Reports Monitoring Database and Communication Outputs Database (which specify the location of all communication and reporting outputs on Share Drive) to ensure effective information sharing internally), and against which performance will be evaluated.
  • Project Reports prepared, cleared and submitted in a timely mannar.
Required Skills:
  • Past working experience with UN and/or international organizations in a reporting/ communication capacity is a requirement;
  • Excellent spoken and, particularly, written English;
  • Computer skills in Office Applications including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint;
  • Knowledge of UN and international organizations’ administrative policies and procedures;
  • High sense of responsibility and attention to detail;
  • Previous reporting experience is a requirement;
  • Ability to work harmoniously with people of different national and cultural backgrounds;
  • Strong communication skills and spirit of teamwork.
