Job Description

Within delegated authority, Monitoring Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:
1. Monitoring:
  • Conduct regular field visits as per approved travel plan with expectation to spend her complete time in the field by ensuring RMS (Remote Monitoring System) attempt;
  • Coordinate and conduct spot checks of distribution by SFP staff at the local level, in close collaboration with the implementing partners through regular field visits;
  • Monitor and review the overall commodity movements such as food deliveries, storage, transport and distribution at the site and verify if the amounts received have been properly recorded, damaged or suspected to be damaged by CP and also SFP staff;
  • Supervise the efficient distribution of food items at the site, verify appropriate entitlements are distributed and provide feedback to CP field staff and others at the distribution point;
  • Assist in the implementation of the plan of action, review achievements and constraints and provide feedback accordingly;
  • Ensure the planned monitoring samples and regular uploading of monitoring checklists in the WFP Pakistan M&E system;
  • Ensure compilation and uploading of issues in the Issues Tracking Module of the WFP Pakistan M&E system and Beneficiary Feedback (BFB) as well as proper follow-up by concerned activity focal points at WFP PO and CP office;
  • Ensure that enquiries on BFB complaints are carried out through field visits or follow up with CP staff.
2. Programme Management at Distribution Sites (Health house/health facility/FDP/PoS):
  • Assist concerned activity focal point in prioritizing the most needy areas;
  • Assist concerned WFP focal point and CP in encouraging women’s access to economic skills development and sensitizing public opinion on gender issues and gender focused activities;
  • Report periodically to the WFP Officer on relevant events regarding food management, distribution and other related issues;
  • Supervise and train the Cooperating Partners’ personnel when required;
  • Assist in the conduct of regular meetings with beneficiary elders, CP and district government on the commodity pipeline, distribution arrangements, food entitlements and other relevant issues.
3. Commodity Movement:
  • Assist uploading of monthly distribution plan and stock counts in the WFP Pakistan M&E system;
  • Assist uploading of monthly distribution reports in the WFP Pakistan M&E system.
4. Reporting and Recording:
  • Train field teams of CP in data collection and in understanding and applying M&E tools and methods;
  • Upload the filled checklists in the WFP Pakistan M&E system on daily basis, in addition submit weekly report to M&E unit;
  • Communicate to M&E unit on daily basis issues that require immediate actions from the management.
  • Maintain a record of all monitoring documents related to the programme/M&E;
5. Perform other related duties as required.

Knowledge:
Experience utilizing computers including word processing, spreadsheet and other software packages.

Language:
Working knowledge in both oral and written communication English with proven knowledge of Pushto or Balochi is mandatory.
