Main Purpose of the Role:
To provide
support primary healthcare consultations in the static clinic and during
outreach activities supports health promotion, vaccination and pharmacy
activities. The project seeks to increase the access to quality of
primary health care services, including preventive Maternal Health and
Child Health, Child spacing, Vaccination and Health promotion
activities. Merlin goal is to offer accessible promotive, preventive,
curative and rehabilitative care for the suffering communities of
District Nowshera
Responsibilities
- She will work as a midwife /LHV in health facility of Merlin
- She will responsible for / support ANC, assist in safe and clean deliveries and PNC as per Merlin, WHO & MOH guidelines.
- She will support routine EPI (Expanded Programme of Immunization) in the clinic
- She will keep and maintain the record of vaccination and maintenance of logistics related to EPI
- She
will participate and assist to Medical doctor in
preparation/compilation of project medical data daily, weekly and
monthly report
- She will work closely with Merlin medical team, MoH staff and other supporting staff.
- She will help the Medical Doctor and Pharmacist as requested by the Medical Supervisor
- She will provide daily and weekly vaccination report, ANC,PNC & delivery reports accurately in time
- Providing
feedback to the Medical Doctor/Medical Supervisor in issues related to
the vaccination, ANC, PNC and safe and clean delivery at health
facility.
- Assist in HP activities to ensure effective health promotion and good community relations
- She will keep and maintain the record of dressings and vaccination and other related task.
- Participate
in outreach activities such as trauma assessment, vaccination campaigns
and PHC mobile clinics, health promotion and CHW or House visitor
training
- Traveling extensively when required
- Assisting in emergency response to disease outbreaks in case of need.
- Any other tasks as assigned by Project Medical Officer
Skills Required Qualifications
- LHV/Midwife, with technical competence in dealing with first care during the complications
- Minimum 6 month of work experience in International organizations, local NGO or government health facility
- Educated with fluency in Pashto, Urdu and English
- Trained Nurse, qualified from recognized center
- Experience in dispensing and vaccination will be an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate flexibility, motivation, and maturity
- Willingness to travel extensively in the different areas in case of need
Preferred Skills
- Good knowledge of quality standards and quality controls related to medical practice.
- Knowledge on computer (Microsoft Word, Excel)
