General Manager – Institutional Development

Responsibilities:
The position shall be responsible to assess the capacity building of partner NGO’s, their funding & projects and social & environmental aspects. The incumbent will be required to design programs for social mobilization, community participation, innovative approaches for capacity building and knowledge sharing of the partner organizations. The person should be able to network and liaison with current and prospective stakeholders. Design and deliver training on peace & conflict negotiation and gender. Carry out strategic visioning of the department including strategic & operational planning, contracts & budgets for the programs, projects and components. Facilitate third party studies & evaluations, appraisal, supervision, review and monitoring of partners’ portfolio, output and outcome monitoring. He/she has to ensure compliance of organization’s policies, procedures & work plans, performance-based assessments, oversight, setting and delivery of annual departmental targets.
Incumbent Profile:
  • Master’s degree preferably in Business Administration, Social Sciences, International Development, Economics or Development Sector related disciplines from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience. Must have experience in social mobilization / institutional development of large scale donor-funded development projects.
  • Funds management and quality control of Department’s partners’ performance; Institutional assessment skills.
  • Aptitude to perform under pressure and be able to meet deadlines.
  • Team player with collaborative management style.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
